Are you struggling to sleep? Did you know that a face massage is a perfect way to ease insomnia symptoms? Many of my clients fall asleep during their face massage and all of my face massage clients have gone home to sleep soundly in their beds. I have had long term insomniacs get a good nights sleep after my massages. Why might my clients be falling asleep?
The majority of clients I see are hard working perfectionists who not only find it difficult to fit in time for relaxation but also find it difficult to stop when night time comes. The clients I know are continuing to talk to themselves at night, using the night time to solve problems, and hold a lot of tension in the facial muscles connected to speech and thinking. These clients have not necessarily visited me because they have insomnia but the treatment they received allowed them to sleep.
The reasons people fail to fall asleep are varied but a key reason is that even when people go to bed to sleep there is residual tension remaining in inactive muscles. Key muscles indicated in insomnia, overthinking and anxiety are the frontalis (across the forehead), procerus (between the eyebrows to the bridge of the nose) and masseter (jaw) muscles which remain active even when you believe they are relaxed. The muscles I have mentioned are functioning at a tiny level when you are talking to yourself, they also contribute to a racing or active mind when they still have tension in them.
Residual tension normally means a sleepless night unless you intervene to relax these muscles. One way to train your muscles to relax is to receive a series of face massages and then learn how to massage and relax your muscles yourself before bed. By relaxing the muscles you are changing the messages being sent by them to your mind and you will be able to slow down or stop the mind before bed.
I have been trained in resolving insomnia at the UK College of Hypnosis in addition to face massage at London School of Massage and I am well placed to offer you both a series of face massages and tips to help your insomnia. Generally speaking a course of face massage should be enough for most people but others may require specific Cognitive Behavioural Hypnosis which I can offer to you at reduced rate of £30. Face massages are normally £55 but a package of 6 massages is now available at £270 and three at a bargain price of £140.
